Bill O’Reilly is an American political commentator, not to be confused with the Australian cricketer, and is the host of the Fox News cable show The O’Reilly Factor.

Well known for his tough demeanor and emotionally charged antics, Bill O’Reilly has risen to stardom from his Irish immigrant roots. Love him or hate him, he certainly isn’t someone to be trifled with. Thus, here are 12 reasons why Bill O’Reilly sucks:

1. He threatens to sue bloggers for the “unauthorized use of Mr. O’Reilly’s name for commercial purposes.� In 2002, O’Reilly had his attorney send a threatening legal letter to the owner of the oreilly-sucks.com website for allegedly attempting to profit from the use of O’Reilly’s name. End result? Nothing happened!

2. He will offer to give his guest the “last word,� but rarely follow through. If a guest ends a segment by saying something unsatisfactory, the last word you’ll usually hear is O’Reilly’s instead.

3. He claims to be “fair and balanced.� However, the deck is stacked against people who disagree with O’Reilly. Such guests will be constantly interrupted with incessant, condescending lectures. Bill O’Reilly can’t let these people get away with their beliefs!

4. He apparently subjected a female co-worker to sexual harassment. Bill O’Reilly seems to have spoken often about phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity and sexual fantasies to Fox News Producer Andrea Mackris. Rather strange behavior coming from such a socially conservative pundit.

5. He claims to not be conservative. There are few things in life of which I am certain. The sky being blue is one of them; Bill O’Reilly being a conservative is another.

6. The No-Spin Zone is full of spin. Despite repeated efforts by Bill O’Reilly to bolster the façade of his No-Spin Zone, it is clear to everyone that the show is spun for his conservative viewers. Without appeasing his conservative base, he wouldn’t even be on the air, now would he?

7. He’s rude. Bill O’Reilly repeatedly engages in bullying, ad hominem attack and venomous invective to silence his critics, or just anyone he might disagree with. My personal favorites are “shut up,� “idiot� and “pinhead.�

8. He lies about his ratings and book sales. Bill will tell you his ratings went up when they actually went down. Or that he’s #1 when he’s dead last. He claimed he gets 4 million viewers a night. I only see about 3 million here.

9. He ignores important stories, while claiming to be looking out for the little guy. O’Reilly rarely, if ever, reports on such stories as environmental issues, health care, and other non right-wing issues.

10. He likes to have Michelle Malkin fill in for him when he’s gone. Actually, she’s kind of hot, so maybe that’s not so bad.

11. He gets overly emotional about some issues. His numerous outbursts and volatile temper makes one question his objectivity and ability to reason.

12. Despite sending him several emails to read for his show, he still hasn’t given me one of his damn books for free.

    Only 12? Man, did you run out of room on this website? There’s about 10 times more.

  2. If Bill OReilly was still a teacher and my kid was one of his students, I’d send him to school with a Luger in his lunchbox.

    A squirtgun of course ;)

    On a serious note, I think that people like OReilly are completely and totally unsuitable to work as teachers, and I certainly would not allow him anywhere near my kids.

    In my opinion, I dont think that Bill OReilly should be allowed anywhere near ANYONE’S kids, but I certainly would not allow him to go near mine.

    The reason I say this is because of his overt endorsement of the murder suicide of Paul and Myrtis Gauthreaux. This is a clear obstruction of justice, and I think that he is a very bad citizen.

    I think that he is a very poor example of the ideal American citizen. Very poor indeed.

    He is also not really much of a Christian, clearly, by virtue of the Gauthreaux affair.
