I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the words “Obama” and “Messiah” used in the same sentence. To liberals, Barack Obama is a spotless god-like figure who will save America from the scourge of neo-conservatism. I’m totally sick of hearing and reading your hero-worshiping crap, folks. Let’s face reality: like so many other powerful politicians in this country, Barack Obama sucks:
1. The Race Card: Whether it be in suggesting that anyone who doesn’t vote for him because he is black is probably a republican, or in blaming Bush administration racism on a slow response to Hurricane Katrina, Obama is quite comfortable playing the race card.
2. Anti-Indian: After the Obama campaign released a paper disparaging other candidates for their ties to the Indian-American community, the chairman of the bipartisan US India Political Action Committee, Sanjay Puri, stated that the Obama Campaign was “engaging in the worst kind of anti-Indian American stereotyping.” Of course, Obama denied any hand in the racist document put out by his campaign.
3. Corrupt Buddies: Tony Rezko, a long time friend and fund-raiser for Obama, was indicted last fall on federal charges that accuse him of demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state business. When asked about his friend, Obama said, “I’ve never done any favors for him.” This turned out to be a lie, as evidence turned up proving that Obama had written letters to city and state officials praising Rezko’s business practices.
4. Wal-Mart Ties: While bashing of Wal-Mart’s labor practices in public, Obama has been profiting from their business through the money his wife made as a member of the board of directors for a company that produces food for the mega-corporation.
5. Religious Ties: Is Obama a Muslim? Is he a Christian? Nobody is 100% sure, but it is true that Obama was raised in a Muslim family and at one time attended an Islamic school. He currently claims to be a convert to Christianity, but some are concerned about his Muslim upbringing.
6. Anti-Second Amendment: Obama is one of the most anti-Second Amendment legislators in the country. He supports a ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
7. Gas-guzzler: Obama might attack American automakers for not making enough environmental friendly automobiles, but when he goes home he drives a gas-guzzling V-8 hemi-powered Chrysler 300.
8. Obama Ringtones: The most annoying campaign tool ever.
9. Obama Girl: I take back what I said about the ringtones. This girl is far more annoying.
10. His Unelectable Name: Barack Hussein Obama, ’nuff said.

I totally agree. I have nothing against Muslims, but if you’ve read the Qu’ran you will understand why it won’t be a good idea having Barack Hussein Obama for President. There should be a separation of religion and state. Muslims tend to be very religious and if we have a religious presidential leader than there is NO WAY he can make rational decisions without Allah getting in the way.

Obama is a former Muslim who converted. Before you go on a name-calling rampage learn to understand what is being said. It was a simple comment towards a statement. I see that you learned nothing from elementary school since you name call, and cannot read and comprehend.
The first amendment of the Bill of Rights protects our freedom of speech. I can assure others that if Obama becomes President this freedom will be taken away. On the other hand, I know that Howard would not object because he is close-minded and cannot handle the opinions of others.
I must say. This is a nice list. And very convincing. But what I must say is that people are too stupid to understand it, because they see the slightest insult as an attack.

I love this list! There is some inaccuracy in number five though. He was not raised Muslim. His father was raised Muslim, but later became an atheist. His mother was non-denominational and believed in having Barack learn about the different religions.

Obama mentioned his church during an appearance with Oprah. It’s the Trinity Church of Christ. Please read and go to this church’s website and read what is written there. It is very alarming.
Barack Obama is a member of this church and is running for President of the U.S. If you look at the first page of their website, you will learn that this congregation has a non-negotiable commitment to Africa. No where is AMERICA even mentioned. Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join Obama’s church… B-L-A-C-K!!! Doesn’t look like his choice of religion has improved much over his (former?) Muslim upbringing.

1. Obama doesn’t use the race card. He never says “Vote for me because I’m black.”, either directly or through anything he’s said. Unlke Hillary, who has blatantly stated, “Change like me being first woman’s president is a great change.” or something along those lines. Barack is a uniter and that’s what makes him such a refreshing candidate because he speaks about change for the better. Unlike his African American presidential hopeful predecessors, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Barack is not a racist and does not promote racism. He doesn’t play the black card. Thats not to say blacks or others wont vote for him because he’s black, but thats not playing a black card just because he’s black. Katrina was the government’s fuck up and Barack never mentioned blacks specifically when he talks about it.
2. The anti-Indian thing is stupid. Obama isn’t anti-Indian. He supports minorities, all of them and has a legal and political record to show for it. Someone very far down on his campaign staff probably came up with it as a way to slur Hillary’s campaign but Barack is not responsible for it and criticized whoever did that. Don’t blame the candidate for another’s bad judgment.
3. Barack’s a politician. Of course he knows someone crooked. Thats politics. Doesn’t mean Barack was tied into it because he wasn’t. This is ridiculous reason to say he sucks. He endorsed somebody probably for good reason. Youre insinuating he knew about the corruption. Is there any proof he knew about it? If so, lets see it.
4. Michelle Obama has since cut ties from the company. But she was on a board for a company concerned with produce (fruits, vegetables, etc.) that supplies Wal-Mart which I think hardly relates to outsourcing, which is what Obama criticized Wal-Mart for.
5. Who cares what religion he belongs to or what he was raised? Man is obviously a good person for work he has done politically and legally. Barack believes in a God and practices what He preaches. I don’t care what name Barack refers to his God by. You shouldn’t either.

Now, I don’t wish to either condemn George Bush or Britney Spears’ support of Bush - that isn’t what I consider most relevant and interesting here. What is interesting is Britney Spears reason for supporting Bush. I don’t believe it unreasonable to support him because of agreement with his policies or agreement with the idea of fostering democracy in the Middle East - such reasons might ultimately prove mistaken, but at least one can construct a rational argument around them.
But that’s not the case with Britney Spears. No, she argues that we must have faith in our president. Whatever decision he makes, we “should just support that.” Is that reasonable? No, it’s not. One can argue that we should have a certain amount of trust in elected officials and not succumb constantly to cynicism, but simply having faith in whatever they do is another matter entirely.
We should be skeptical of political leaders - we shouldn’t have faith in every salesman who comes along, we shouldn’t have faith in every politician who comes along, and we shouldn’t have faith in every religious figure who comes along. We should think for ourselves and it is irresponsible of Britney Spears to tell young people that it is better to be faithful than to be skeptical.
Out of curiousity, why do we seem to believe actors and celebrities are any less knowledgable about political events than the rest of us, if not more?

Obama is a politician and will say the same things that politicians say. Now, he doesn’t play the race card directly, BUT if he wasn’t a biracial man that appears to the world as black, would he be as popular as an “agent of change?” Probably not.
The other thing is that he promises “change” but doesn’t elaborate exactly how AND what are his accomplishments anyway besides Harvard and other career moves? NOW EVERYONE READ THIS PART. he’s going to raise taxes through the roof, especially if the evidence comes to over $200,000. of course, those are the people who are the wealth producers and the job creators. two thirds of the people, these rich people that he continues to say have to pay more taxes, those are the small businessmen in America. those are the people who create the jobs. he is going to get rid of the cap on the Social Security tax. right now you pay Social Security tax on income up to $97,000 (or 97,500 w/e). he would say get rid of that cap. so that’s an additional 12% tax that you’d pay. so your marginal tax rate is going to go up to above 50%!!!!!! we haven’t seen tax rates like that in this country since the 1970s. when FDR first instituted Social Security, the first tax was 1% on the employer, 1% on the employee on the first $4,000 of income. today it’s a 15% tax and it’s on income up to $100,000 and Obama would just get rid of it. he will essentially transform Social Security (which is supposed to be an insurance program, a retirement pension program) into just a welfare program. i think we all know we have enough of those. with all this, those living in high income tax areas such as California, New Jersey, New York, the combined tax increase could rise to nearly 60%!!!! he also wants to help out american businesses but there are now 20 countries in the world that have flat taxes of less than 25%. how are American companies and businesses going to be able to compete when they have tax burdens that are twice as high as the companies we’re competing against. its nuts to say the least. add all of this with foreclosure plans and national healthcare, we are simply screwed. PLEASE EVERYONE DO YOUR HOMEWORK VOTE REPUBLICAN. i consider myself very conservative, and i’m not the biggest mccain fan, but he is 100 times better than either democrat. so if you are a grumbling conservative, please don’t sit out of this election, we need a republican to win in order to preserve our nation’s values and standings.

Even in last nights debate, he STILL talks in blankets of words. When hillary talks, you hear what shes saying, she speaks in specifics. You know what im starting to think? That the obama fan base is too uneducated, incoherent or just flat out unable to make sense of specifics. They dont have the intellectual ability to understand hillary. They dont have the intelligence to understand SPECIFICS. lol.. its too over their heads, so naturally, theyre going to gravitate towards a man who speaks on simple terms, and says pretty much nothing, but “yes we can”. lol…
Hillary is too damn SMART for this country to get a grip on her. Thats the problem. Oh hey and obama is so electable? Yeah why ? Cause he cracks little jokes and humors his audience? last nights debate was a joke. i don’t even know why they were asked questions, they didn’t answer a single one. they kept beating around the bush, it was horrible. they didnt even debate anything really. both candidates just kept agreeing with each other.
obama again didn’t get into specifics. he keeps telling the people what he wants to do, but not how he plans on doing it. everytime the audience clapped i kept feeling like i missed something. if obama is the next president, i hope his staff knows what to do cuase he sure as hell doesn’t.

im tired of hearing how obama voted not to go to war, for that alone i would never vote for him even if i agreed on everything else. knowing that if there were an attack on american soil that killed lets say about 3000 people, i would feel sick to my stomach knowing obama wouldn’t go to war. in his debate he said he would do anything to protect americans against terrorists, not going to war sure as hell doesn’t make me feel safe. i just don’t get it, these terrorists pulled off the biggest attack on american soil ever, and if obama were president we wouldn’t of done anything about it. thats pitiful and shameful.

Bush has cut off much of the terrorists’ funding, and captured or killed many key leaders of the al qaeda network. he has even rewarded our troops. he pushed through THREE raises for our military. increased military pay by more than $1 billion a year. and for you liberals, bush has started withdrawing our troops from bosnia, and has announced withdrawal of our troops from germany and the korean DMZ.
and all his accomplishments aren’t just war related. he has signed two income tax cuts, one of which was the largest dollar-value tax cut in world history (but i guess if your a dem. that would be a bad thing). he’s turned around an inherited economy that was in recession, and deeply shocked as a result of the 9-11 attacks, he’s increased small business incentives to expand and to hire new people and signed the no child left behind act, delivering the most dramatic education reforms in generations (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations). this act has helped students all over the nation, test scores have increased pretty dramatically in reading, writing and especially in mathematics. all you people can put him down all you want, but you have to agree this is one hard working, truly inspirational man, who I am so proud to call my president! he does what he thinks is best for the country, no one can claim that he truly doesn’t love america (unlike obama and his wife).

I read these blogs everyday. I too get irritated at watching the media bow down to Obama like he is the golden whatever. I have gotten to the point where I get so damn mad that I just want to throw something everytime I hear obama’s name. The media has truly ruined politics and it truly makes me sad that Hillary is getting the bad end of the deal. This country hasn’t moved forward. It’s headed downhill. I like Hillary Clinton. And maybe some of you don’t, and that’s ok. We have a God given and constitutional right to our opinions. But this has become a racist and sexist campaign. The obama’s are racist in the worst way and people who don’t believe in women of power better go back into the cave. At least we know something of our older candidates whether it is good or bad. I have had the experience of working with some African-Americans who played the race card evertime they got into trouble. last time i checked alicia, terrorists are located in iraq; so yes, we should be where terrorists are. when iraq terrorists take innocent people hostage and then make execution videos online, i think that is reason enough to be there. not only that, but they are constantly making threats to hurt and kill americans, again a valid reason to be there. i don’t think nukes were the main reason we wanted saddam either. i’ll give you some reasons:

1988 or 1989 (not sure): saddam hussein’s regime carried out the anfal campaign against the large kurdish population in northern iraq. the purpose of the campaign was ostensibly to reassert iraqi control over the area; however, the real goal was to permanently eliminate the kurdish “problem.” the campaign consisted of eight stages of assault, where up to 200,000 Iraqi troops attacked the area, rounded up civilians, and razed villages. Once rounded up, the civilians were divided into two groups: men and women, children, and elderly men. the men were shot and buried in mass graves. the women, children, and elderly were taken to relocation camps where conditions were deplorable. in a few areas,especially areas that put up even a little resistance, everyone was killed. hundreds of thousands of kurds fled the area, yet it is estimated that up to 182,000 were killed during the anfal campaign. many people consider the anfal campaign an attempt at genocide.
1987: the Iraqis used CHEMICAL WEAPONS to remove kurds from their villages in northern iraq during the anfal campaign. it is estimated that chemical weapons were used on approximately 40 kurdish villages. the iraqis rained down volley after volley of bombs filled with a deadly mixture of mustard gas and nerve agents on halabja. immediate effects of the chemicals included blindness, vomiting, blisters, convulsions, and asphyxiation. approximately 5,000 women, men, and children died within days of the attacks. long-term effects included permanent blindness, cancer, and birth defects. an estimated 10,000 lived, but live daily with the disfigurement and sicknesses from the chemical weapons.
those are just three big incidents if you will, in which he was convicted during his trial. i left out some stuff on political oppression, “ethnic cleansing,” and religious persecution, so if you need more reasons why iraq and saddam are “bad,” feel free to make more ridicoulus comments.

Once the youngsters left the room, there has been a very good discussion going on. It begs the question - why not raise the voting age to around 35 or so? Maybe people would get elected based on their qualities rather than the voters “feelings”.

i agree except on voting age, i’m not 35. i also have to say, dems. have always said that they don’t want big government, yet it seems they have a gov. program for everything, ranging from universal healthcare, to global warming, to their foreclosure plans; all of which are ridicoulus by the way. they are acting like americans are helpless without the governments help, and people seem to agree with them. the message they are sending is like its okay if you fail, we’ve got you covered. everyone is excited that the government is going to help them out, but they are forgetting that taxpayers are the ones really paying for it.

Renn - Maybe instead of a given age there should be a test, an IQ of sorts. Tell a lot of people they deserve entitlements, they want them right now. It is idiotic to think that a voting age of “35″ will correct the wrongs of the voting system. Age does not predict intelligence. I know forty year olds who do not understand any political issues nor do they have the desire to learn about political candidates. It is not an age problem but rather one of ignorance and lack of acceptance - ignorance that is so rampant that the politicians, and the media, capitalize on it. The biggest banker is Obama. i do agree SOMEWHAT with what cap’ had to say.. i believe there should be some sort of screening for voters. not an IQ test necessarily, and not by age. But something to find out just how informed our voters are. How passionate about politics they are…. etc etc. I am 33, i wouldnt be able to vote based on caps ‘ age defining voting standards…… and i believe i am passionate enough, and well informed enough to make a clear and conscious decision about who i would like to see running our country. I know people who have many years on me, who care less and know less about politics than i, therefore i believe the age standard wouldnt exactly cut the issue. Nor would IQ testing, as there are plenty of people im sure, who could surpass both cap and myself in such a test, but who could care less about politics. you see. But i do agree, that there is a problem… and i do think, we would benefit from some sort of voters screening process.

well i’m not excited about the debate (we hear the same thing over and over again), but i do have to agree, i want hillary to come out “guns blazing.” i am actually a conservative that respects hillary. this entire time all the dems. in my political science class, have been saying that she is done and out of the race. i disagree. winning texas and ohio and the remaining states will all come down to how she does in this debate. she HAS to hit obama on his policies, i think she knows them better than he does. she HAS to point out their differences in certain policies, which there aren’t alot of, but there are some differences in healthcare, foreign policy, and so on.
i hope that the questions asked are actually tougher ones. if they ask obama “how do you plan to pay for all of the programs you want to put into place,” that would be the end of him. that question is tough for hillary too but she is smart enough to answer it without really saying what will happen.
the reason i think obama is still ahead of hillary is becuase he has dodged all the hard questions in debates and all the democrats are letting him get away with it. they also hold her to an entire different standard. the democrats need to stop letting obama slide, or they will get the wake up call of their life when he is in office.
basically this is hillary’s last chance, she cannot hold back in this debate, if she does, then she is done.
